trailer hire - Central Scotland

Anyone know where to hire a trailer for in the falkirk/Cumbernauld/Bathgate area?

HSS quoted £100 for 1 day (plus a £340 deposit) or I can have a recovery firm collect it for £70. I was hoping for around £25 for 4 hours hire.

£70 for it to be collected isn't too bad when I add the Mercs fuel cost of about £15 (90 mile round trip) but I fancy the idea of picking it up myself, thats why I fitted the towbar.

UPDATE.

Got a company in Bathgate that will give me a days hire for £37 . Damn fine price. Means I can pick it up 1 day going to work and then drop of the trailer the following day saves a double trip to return the trailer.

I hired my trailer from Indespension in Newcastle, was about £35 plus the VAT for the day. But they only had one in the fleet so you had to book up in advance.

Indespension (Scotland) Ltd
6, Riverside, Milngavie, Glasgow, Lanarkshire G62 6PS
Tel: 0141 956 3055 Classification: Trailer Hire

Indespension Edinburgh Trailer & Towbar Centre Ltd
57, London Rd, Edinburgh, Midlothian EH7 6AA
Tel: 0131 661 7571 Classification: Trailer Hire

Don't know if they are close enough to you to make it worthwhile, you're roughly in the middle of them?

On a similar subject, does anyone know of a transporter trailer for sale in Scotland? A mate of mine is on the hunt for one.

Preferably a factory made trailer, but anything reasonable considered.

Cheers.
