Plumbing layout for pinto
richwill - 26/10/09 at 11:17 AM

I am looking to sort out my cooling system over the winter as i have had a couple of leaks and problems since i got it on the road. I have pinto with polo rad and was hoping some of you had photos showing how you have routed your pipes. Is it worth using silicone pipes or do i stick with standard rubber.

I have the routing sorted but was looking for ideas of how to make the whole set up look neat and tidy.

Silicone is not worth it IMHO, standard rubber is more than adequate.

Using sections of ally pipe can make things look neater and I've also seen a few cars with 15mm copper pipe used to good effect (painted black).

i have used some copper pipe on mine and may do the same but spend a little more time in mounting it better and painting it.
I just was not happy with the way it was done but i can improve it quite easily i think.
