PASS!
bilbo - 5/5/11 at 03:23 PM

Whoohoo!
Passed my re-test at Nottingham today
Only took ten mins to check over the fail points I had and I was soon holding my IAC

Only thing now is to sort the DVLA. I popped down after the test in the tin top (I left the locost at VOSA) and handed in all the paper work. Unfortunately Nottingham still insist on an inspection and only by appointment So I still have some time to wait before I'm on the road. I've booked it in for the first available slot - 3:20pm Thursday 12th, but will have to work out a plan on how to get the car there.
I don't suppose there is there anyone on here in the Nottingham area with a trailer and a means to tow it who'd be willing to help me out in exchange for some beer tokens?

Cheers,
Bill

Well done.
Feels good don't it

Preston DVLA told me that DVLA no longer need to inspect car & just rely on docs from IVA but hey it wont be long before your on the road.

Great! well done - now get that numberplate (oh, and you'll need weather gear now as the good weather has finished and the 'great British Summer' is just starting....)

Nice one!

I'd give DVLA a ring and ask for confirmation on the inspection, stating that some other centers aren't requireing one and the cost to you. See what they say.
