After Iva Registration
sprouts-car - 7/1/14 at 12:53 PM

Afternoon all,

My mind has turned (prematurely) to registration after iva.

From reading the gov.co.uk site I think this is the complete list of whats needed:

V55/4 form
V627/1 form
Original Paper driving licence
Original Bank statement
Original Insurance Certificate
Check for road tax (How much should this be?)
Check for fee £55
Origianl IVA Cert
Plans/recepts/photos

Did I miss anything?

I assume you are going for age related plate ?

If that is the case you need V55/5
Items stated as new on V627/1 must either have recipts that say new or letter stating new and unused.

For the road tax -

Cars and light goods vehicles registered before 1 March 2001
The rate of vehicle tax is based on engine size for cars and light goods vehicles registered before 1 March 2001.

Private/light goods (TC11)
Engine size (cc) 12 months rate 6 months rate
Not over 1549 £140.00 £77.00
Over 1549 £225.00 £123.75

I was going for a Q plate actually, its too much a collection of odd parts to try anything else.

So is V55/4 correct?
And since it isn't registered before March 2001 what is the tax band/rate?

Well done on the pass!

I also recently IVA'd and DVLA'd going on a Q plate

You need a V55/5 form.
Fill in the 627/1 form with any receipts you have (i had a hand written receipt for engine, trans etc and chassis receipt)

Obviously include all the rest of the stuff you need (forms, photos etc).

I didn't have any problems and got my reg back after around 2-3 weeks!

Good luck,
Andy

All paper work send of yesterday.

Recorded delivery says it got there today at 11:00 and I have a random squiggle to prove it.

So now I just wait.....

They quote that it'll take 10 working days i think.
Give them a call after 6 or so and lie like i did and say you sent it off a couple of weeks ago, that'll make them actually check where it is, they told me at this time it had all been processed and was in the post!
Just in time, the weather should clear soon!
