Has anyone had a failure on mot due to using rod ends on the suspension and having no covers?

Mot manual states if they are missing its a major defect, however rod ends are not supposed to have covers on them!

First Mot coming up so want to make sure I don't get an issue!

Shouldn't be an issue. Taken cars with rod ends for MOT and never been mentioned.

Mine went through fine, i think the MOT tester was loving doing something a bit different
