how do i check a part number for a steering rack i,ve been offered?
part number is
QHB 798

been told its a Mk2 escort rack which is what i need, just want to check the rack is what i hope it is.

Couldn't find it on Quinton Hazell's Q-PID (e-catalogue)

I phoned up my local Sandicliffe Ford dealership when I needed some part numbers for a steering rack - they emailed me a PDF complete with exploded view and part numbers.

thanks , i,ll try the dealer approach & also i,ll phone QH tomorrow.
