This is a write-up of the new Caterham SV-R suspension design, very detailed for those who are interested in such claptrap as camber curves, roll couples, chassis frequencies, etc.:

Thanks a lot! Now I have even more ideas for my own chassis.

Back to the drawing board!

Pete:

What are your thoughts on this? Given the information provided, it seems like someone could back into the Caterham design. Have you figured out their arm lengths, pick up locations, etc?

Those really are very nice cars.

If I had more info about their uprights, track, and chassis width I might be able to get close, but wouldn't set copying it as a goal. Actually, I'd go for a bit more camber change in bump than they did for the front end, about .75 degrees per inch (they have .43) to keep the character more Seven-ish (or Miata-ish).

Here's an EVO article about the car:

Lots of food for thought

That is a VERY interesting read. Lots of juicy details and most revealing to me! Thanks for bringing that to our attention.
