Steering column lower bush
snippy - 22/1/17 at 09:10 PM

I need to replace the lower rubber bush on my sierra steering column. It's the circular bush which has 4 holes where pins go through it, near to where the column attaches to the steering rack. Mine is perished and splits are forming.
I've seen polyurethane versions but they're £60! I also understand one from a Landrovery Discovery will fit but you have to buy a complete column and then cut the bush out. They're a bit cheaper at £30.
Surely it can be got somewhere cheaper? Anyone had experience of buying one?

Not sure if it is the correct one, no picture shown, but Rally Design do one at £14.05

Might be worth a phone call.

Thanks for the info. I rang Rally Design but that one is for a Datsun 280Z.

Rally Design also sell one to suit the Ford spline, an upper joint and a steering shaft that can be altered if needed. Car Builders Solutions also sell them . If you want just the Flexi disc try your local motor factors

So I ended up buying a Landrover Discovery lower column and then removed the rubber bush which I have now fitted to my Sierra column. Job done and at £12 a locost solution!
