Are motorcycle filler caps generally self venting? Cant imagine how else they do it...I am using one for the back panel of the locost.

They might vent through the keyhole, can't see anything else on mine.

I believe so. If you turn my fuel tank upside down petrol does escape. Maybe its just down to a poor fit, but it isn't a major leak.

Not a good idea I know but I was looking at something else at the time.

I know Suziki GSX-R ones are self venting. Some years back I stuck a parking permit sticker over the cap at a bike show and a few miles later the bike ground to a halt because i'd inadvertantly blocked the vent, though I couldn't see exactly where it went.

Thanks guys, i will try this without a separate vent, see what happens. If not then the bicycle valve idea!
