Never had a car with wire wheels then ? -- absolute swine to keep clean, heavy, never run exactly true and need regular checking for loose spokes..

... not to men tion a lot heavier, so I won't.

<<<<< oh look, another land rover driver

A few landy drivers on here!

Bought a used set of wire wheels with tyres fitted, as SWMBO's mx5 needs replacment tyres anyway.

Thing is they were second hand and are a bit pitted and scuffed. Started polishing one with some brasso type stuff, started o come up a treat but will be a pig initially.

btw the wheel centre and the spokes are cromed steel, but the rim is a chromed alloy, so not too heavy.
