Is that the 3M Di-noc stuff?

afj - 11/8/11 at 07:31 AM

yes its the 3m di-noc in carbon hardest bit was removing all the switches from the dash and not messing up the savage switch wiring (thanks locoR1) as im not that good with electrics. best tip it to watch the many youtube vids of people wrapping stuff the cycle wings are a little harder but the dash took 15 mins to do. the 3m stuff is expensive but if you google a company called star vinyls they do a cheaper version which is half the cost but 90% as good. i used the 3m as we have 5 meters of the stuff at work

Looks very will have a good look on Sat see if its up to your usual standard

What's next?

afj - 11/8/11 at 11:45 AM

whats next... your making me a turbo manifold actualy the next job is to do somrthing with the standard cowling around the column, which still has the indicator stalk holes in not sure how to do it maybe glass over the holes smoth off and paint black before a wrap with carbon

Nice work, I've considered doing my cycle wings, due to one having an area of cracked gelcoat. Looks good.

Has anyone tried the cheaper stuff...

Carbon Fibre Foil black This one or

Star Carbon Fibre black This one

Cheers

TheKingofBling - 20/8/11 at 12:58 PM

the only downside of this stuff is some variants look a matt finish and not like the real macoy, 3m stuff looks the closest ive seen.

If you do have genuine cf parts on the car it stands out like a sore thumb.
