GTS Panther front wishbones Size

Hi Guys,

99% sure I have a GTS Panther, all body panels and suspension are identical to cars on this forum, I seem to have two lower front wishbones that have not been fabricated symmetrically and quality seems to be questionable. Is this a common problem?I am thinking of replacing the set of front wishbones for a set by Rallydesign but they seem to be considerably smaller. Are the wishbones on the GTS Panther wider than that of stock Ron Champion design?

Any help would be much appreciated

What measurements do you want to know?

I have a GTS Panther but not a clue if they are the original wishbones or not....

Darren G used to sell the plans for his car. So even looking like a Panther it could be home made.

The chassis was very close to the book with a few mods.
The front section had the ears cut off.
The rear bulkhead was an inch higher.
There was mounts for the diff on the back of the trans tunnel.

The plans for the wish bones never came with the chassis plans. I did get a copy but various dimensions where missing as they where not finished.

From memory they where a similar 3.5" wider reach side to match the rear track. The Sierra being somthing like 7" wider than the escort.

In the end I went for a capri axle and kept it live axle like the book but 4" wider across the front and rear track.

Darren also made bones for Cortina and Sierra uprights, a choice you had to make when ordering.

The whole car is a inch higher, bonnet, scuttle and rear tub.

I have GTS made wishbones on mine, for Sierra.

Thankyou for all your replies, I have found a couple of problems with the front of my chassis which I am now correcting and I decided to convert my wishbones to the standard width.
