£500 Citroen AX 1.1i "Memphis"
Dave Ashurst - 22/5/11 at 05:27 PM

Currently located in Manchester, my daughter's car is for sale because she's getting a replacement for her 21st birthday very soon!

MOT to Dec 2011
Tax to end June 2011

Good points:

Nice little car, original spec, unmodified, 2-door hatchback with low mileage for the year (N Reg - 82,000 miles)
Drives well, has always been reliable and everything works.
We bought it last year, it was a bit of a find and had evidently had a very easy life.

Metallic dark green, (polishes up well)
No rust.
Interior is all in good condition (non smokers).
Electric windows
Central locking
Stereo (Citroen original cassette/radio) speakers replaced last summer.
Factory fitted tilt/lift out glass sunroof
New cambelt fitted last summer (2010) at its 72000 mile service., brake fluid changed (with correct grade)
All new tyres fitted in December 2010
New exhaust about 2 years ago according to last owner plus a few other items they told us about but I can't remember.

Less than perfect points:

There are a small number of dings on the bodywork and a scratch on the corner of the front bumper.
Rear parcel shelf hinge points are broken, so it rattles (or you can put it in the boot on the floor where it doesn't

Will post photos later this week.

What's she getting for her birthday then Dave? Something more modern?

if she's used to little french cars it would be a shame to get her something non french :-)

Front door pockets big enough for a bottle of wine. Gotta love the french.....

My sister had one of these, flew for such a small engine.

£400 ono

It's now home in Leamington Spa, I've been driving it to work this week and its great.

Too many cars means it has to go though. So it'll be advertised at work tomorrow and if it's not taken then it goes on ebay at the weekend.

Give me a shout if you want a go or you know anyone who does.
