MK Indy R1- rebuilt in 2006 - £5,995
JonnyS - 15/3/13 at 04:23 PM

This was Richie's old car (richijenkin) and was built by his brother. The build info can be found in his posts.

MOT to November 2013
Tax to March 13

Weight: 480kg with half a tank
460kg with the optional 13” wheels

First registered in July 2003 with a car engine.

Fully rebuilt in 2006:

2001 Yamaha R1 bike engine (baffled) 150bhp
Engine did 7,000 miles in the bike before being installed in the car.
Now on 12,950 miles
Sierra IRS 3.62 Diff with LSD
Bailey Morris heavy duty prop
Gaz 20 way adjustable coilovers
Drilled/Grooved disc on front/solid discs at rear (Sierra XR4*4)
Paddle shift gearchange
TTS performance foam filter

I purchased the car in November 2009 from the builder. Since then it has had:

Procomp FIA spec roll cage
Composite seats (very comfy even on long journeys)
Aeroscreen
Carbon fibre wing mirrors
Longacre rear view mirror
Acumen DG8 gear indicator
Repackable exhaust
Recent new battery
Extra cooling capacity

The car comes with the following wheels:

15” Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s with Toyo 888s (3mm)
15” alloys with Toyo Proxes (6mm)

I also have a set of specially commissioned Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 13” wheels for the use of slicks. These were made for the MK to fit over the rear callipers. They have slicks fitted with plenty of tread but they are a few years old. These are available at extra cost.

The car has been fantastic during my 3 years of ownership. Very fast up to 100 as you’d expect with 300bhp/tonne, predictable, makes a fantastic noise, the brakes are incredible and it’s cheap to run.

The car has been used for a few trackdays, that’s what these cars were made for. They just enjoy it with very little tyre or brake wear. It has cost practically nothing over and above the upgrades, regular servicing and fuel. Even the fuel consumption is good on a run. The car has a few light scratches here and there .

Sad to see it go, but time commitments mean it isn’t being used and that’s just torture.

Test drive only with proof of fully comp insurance.

£5,995.

Nice car but you have priced it too cheap in my opinion

Cheers for the compliments! Pricing is a hard one with these cars. It's certainly very keen.

There's memories...

Went on a couple of 7 runs with this car when Ritchie had it and it went very well

Same here, was at a track day at Anglesey with Ox and Ritchie back in 2005/6 what great weekend, its a very well built car, bargain for that money, and now fitted with with a full cage, good luck with the sale, it will not hang about for long at that money

It was an awesome car. I still miss it. Never missed a beat bar one snapped clutch cable; a credit to you and your brother. Don't think we got passed by anything on our last five track days
