Looking to update my engine over the winter for a new challenge so I'm selling off my old parts
2.1 pinto with spec as follows
Lightened and balanced bottom end and fly wheel
Big valve head with race cam ( doesn't run too lumps so very drivable)
Vernier pulley
Burton alloy rocker cover
Shortened sump
Fire blade carbs on alloy manifold
Hi gear starter motor
£850
Type 9 gear box with low milage and short throw shifter
£170
What sort of power are you getting from the pinto. How many miles has it done?
I've not had it rolling roaded but it pulls very well, it has done about 2000 miles since it was built where is had new rings bearings and stem seals
I have a 2.0 pinto installed which has standard efi set up which gives 97 bhp at the wheels. I was looking for a simple increase in power for a winter upgrade but I'm not sure if this would do the trick.
Typically engines with this spec produce around 140-155 bhp at the flywheel
This package also comes with the zero manifold and exhaust silencer along with a bestec ignition
