Has Saturn gone to the wall or are they still on the go?

Ben_Copeland - 27/4/15 at 10:31 AM

Gone, then was taken over by Gilham... Which went bust.

Now taken over by someone else, but dunno who.

I'll be having words with equinox to make one !

This question has been going on the roadster forum it seems that the "saturn" moulds are the ones gillham had . I think now it is kit car direct (see there post link above) although i heard right or wrong that Dan from gillham was doing the work for kcd.
As i have said before this really needs clearing up so that everyone knows what is happening and who is supplying what.
Maybe kitcardirect could give us a difinitive answer.
Gary

There's not a lot to clear up TBH Gary.

Mark Bean made the moulds. As far as I know, there was only 1 set made.
Saturn Sports Cars (Andy Hugill) then bought the moulds off Mark
When Andy sold up due to ill health IIRC, they went to the unit next door to Nathan @ NTS Engineering
When Nathan sold up, they went back to Andy for a very short time
The moulds then ended up with Dan at Gillham
The moulds now seem to be with Kit Car Direct, or at the very least they have access to them to sell parts.

The diffuser that Rosco is selling is a Saturn one, it used to be mine, I bought it directly off Andy Hugill.

Hi porkchop. Yes that clears up the history and tbh i have my bodywork ( although i do fancy a diffuser later) and i got mine from Dan atbgillham it was just i had a few asking where i got mine from and there was a vagueness of who actually had the moulds now and who to contact.
Although like you say it " appears" that kcd are involved now.
