What make and model is it and goes it work by comparing RPM to road speed or another way?

It was bought from Elite racing transmissions and uses the sequential barrel potentiometer values to determine the gear position.

I don't think its manufactured by Elite, as there business is mechanical engineering, so will be a generic LED display and wiring loom.

Cheers

Is this a Hall effect sensor?

No it isn't, it's the digital gear position indicator, which displays the gear position, with the wiring loom.

Elite use these as gear displays. https://www.variohm.com/products/motorsports-sensors/gear-shift-sensors-and-displays/omz160-programmable-gear-number-display

Anyone interested in this before it goes on ebay?

Would take an offer as I would rather see it go to someone who would get the good of it.

Thanks

Stephen
