Hi,

Wanted: MGZR / MGF / PG1 gearbox - broken or working. Basically, I would like the diff out of it so if you have one (or know someone who has one) lying around and you want rid, and not a million miles from Bedford please let me know.

Many thanks.

Most ZR use the Midland box (Licence built Peugeot )

If it is Torsen diff you are after you need a the diff from an 820 Vitesse Turbo Sport or 620Tii or 220 turbo or 420 turbo

A torsen diff would be nice but the open diff is also fine.

Is that true that some Zrs used the midland box? Do you know which ones used the PG1? Thanks.

You learn something new every day. I thought the 1.8 had the pg1 and the 1.4~1.6 had the Ib5 ?

The Pg1 box was used on all fwd 4 cylinder Rover & MG models of over 1.6 litre except where a Honda engine was fitted.
This included the 2 litre Montego and Masetro.

It was also used on the MGF/TF and also the early 1980s Rover 216 (with the S series engine).
