Its a Shappire Azure 1.6L Pinto from 1992.

I want to understand the whole wiring hareness so I can strip off the wires I don't need and use the rest on my kit.

you are better than me if you can understand the dim/dip system from the wiring diagrams.

good luck

Thanks chaps, got the diagrams now from you. Cheers!

I just need to trace the wires back that I need and uncderstand what the others are before I cut them out.

It helps to understand where all the bits and pieces are powered from.

Scratching your head without the diagram but easy deasy with the pictures.

What dont you understand ? break it down in to little chunks to understand it.

Regards

well if it is anything like the mk2 escort, then that has me stumped; I can iunderstand the wiring but it does bot explain to me how the contacts are made when the levers are moved.

I dont really need to know anything, Ive rewired the sierra fuse box to do away with dim/dip, I have retained the use of the relays for dip & main beam & earthed them thro the column stalks

Dim /Dip was always a daft idea anyway IMHO
