Well, my 230bhp (400bhp/ton) complete build cost me a fair bit less than that
Might be a good deal, maybe I'm out of touch? Or too Yorkshire

Late model ZX14R full running pack with low mileage cost £5k as a complete kit
Billet sump kit £650 plus vat
Prop adaptor £65 plus vat
Heavy duty clutch springs and gasket £40
Westfield dash and gauges - £250
Westfield V8 bonnet £250
Engine mounts £150
Sierra 3.14 duff rebuilt with quaife ATB - gonna set you back £1000 all day long
Complete exhaust system with silencer £500 conservative estimate
Accusump with mounts and all hosing £400
Oil cooler with all hosing and billet sandwich plate £300
Pipercross air filter kit £120
Catch tank and plumbing £60
Innovate AFR guage, sender and lambda £120
And an awful lot of other bits including original clicks - all wired and ready to run

I’d say it was a lot of kit for the money and a true representation of what a proper install of one of these engines is going to cost.
With bike power there are no halfway houses / do it right or live with unreliable installs and costly blow ups

Antnicuk - 13/9/18 at 07:21 AM

I agree Andy👍

I'm sure you're right Andy But it doesn't stop us Yorkshire folk been shocked at the price of these modern fangled engines. I'll be off for a sit down with a cup of tea while I recover

😀 yeah they add up when you drill down into the nitty gritty Nick
Thing is I get really p!ssed off at all these “build this car for £7995” adds
Invariably they suck people in and then they realise just how much more has to be spent or they try and hit the budget by ignoring dry sumps etc and it ends in expensive disaster
I’d rather not sell a car than hoodwink people like that
When we sell an Arion, Sabre or Typhon kit we have a simple policy - we quote the total price down to the last rivet - if you stick to spec and spend more we pay the difference
That way the customer had control over the project from the get go

Where? on your junket in Florida/round the world?

M@rk - 12/10/18 at 10:59 AM

The kit is now out of the car and prices broken down with a price reduction on the whole package too. There is also a 3.14 Quaife ATB Diff with less than 500miles on it for sale too (not listed)
