DIY Fault code reader (self diagnostic reader)?
dr-fastlane - 13/2/11 at 01:00 PM

I’m in search for a simple (cheap) fault code reader for my 2,0i EFI Ford sierra engine with EEC IV ecu.

What’s the trick with a LED indicator? Like which of the 3-pins op the self diagnostic plug must be used? And what are the meanings of the led flashes?

Any ideas or experience will be helpful.

The LED Flashes correspond to the definitions in the manual.

I bought a fault code reader from ebay, and it works very well. Used it to reset the fault lights on a family members Galaxy as well.
