Excel to .pdf converter?

Hi,

Has anyone got a tested, reliable, on-line or other, means of converting .xls documents to .pdf format?

I've tried a couple via Google but no joy....

Can't you import/make it into a word doc and then make a PDF from that?

Its not a matter of converting, its effectively 'printing' a pdf.

Try Cute PDF, Bullzip, or PDF Factory.
All free to use and simply show up as a printer once installed.
(Factory is more complete, but leaves a small branding at the base of each page.)

Thanks again for all you input chaps.

Having thought I was such a smarty pants using Adobe's own converter the thieving 2@s want 7.56€ a month if I want to convert more than one file....

Will investigate primo.

File, Save As. PDF or XPS....

Cant remember if i can do it at home, but thats what we do at work using office 2007.

Newer versions of office on windows let you 'save as' a pdf.
Any OSX mac and any program just 'print' to a file and choose pdf format, but the files tend to be larger than ones created using adobe etc, so if you know anyone with a mac get them to do it.

What version of Excel are you running (pre-2007 I'm guessing if .xls file extension)?

Excel 2010 has an option to "Save As PDF" which works well.

Alternatively I've always like the free PDF995 software which appears as a printer option in Windows. It's free and does not leave any watermarks or other tick turds on the resulting PDF document.

Hi Nick,

I think my Excel is 2003. My first reaction was to try 'save as' but .pdf formats are not shown. The Cute pdf software is an excellent alternative though. I now just need to hit print and select 'CutePDF Writer' and I go straight to the 'save as' type screen.
