Logging downloads?
IainB - 20/12/06 at 06:24 PM

I share a connection with 3 other guys and we are constantly going over our download limit, is there any way of logging how many Mb each user is downlaoding? I can get a total amount but not individual. We run a broadband connection through a BT home hub. 2 of us use network cable and other 2 use wireless.

Ta, Iain

Are you on BT?

I should really complete that.

If you are, as from 1st Jan they are removing all limits for Option 3 people.

Option 4 has been removed and you can regrade to Option 3 which saves you £3/month and get unlimited for £0 cost.

You also get another free router too if you accept a new 12 months contract.

The small print, and yes I have read it, says there is not any kind of restriction with regards to a cap, not even fair useage at all.

I moved mine across last week after getting a warning about 177GB and a threat of 30p/GB next month.

And if you are an existing user, you can regrade from 1st Dec.

Nope, I was Option 4, got a warning earlier this month and moved the next day to Option 3. You lose nothing, save £36/year and get a free router.

Mad, but true.

Even so, 173.55 GB is a whole really big shed load of porn!
