i'm sure this will be the first of many questions

as title says what thickness ally would you all recommend for the tunnels,rear bulkhead & passenger end footwell?

Pretty sure mine are about 1mm thick.

Mine are 1.3mm all over, I think builders tend to have slightly thicker floor's to stop the bending/twanging effect!

I used 2 mm all over

I've got a 2mm floor, 1.5mm tunnel sides and 1mm everywhere else. No particular reason for the different thickness for tunnel and sides, just what I had available.

I would suggest that you use a tough alloy for the floor and bulkheads. If you use aluminium grade NS4 18 gauge 1.2mm will be sufficient.

For any panels that need forming such as the bonnet transmission tunnel etc pure aluminium in 18 gauge 1.2mm will do the job. I personally would not go any thinner for body panels.

IŽd say depends on what you want.
Lighter gauges equal less weight and relative ease of fabrication. E.G. 1 mm
Thicker ones 2 mm, 2.4, Gives more strength and oil canning resistance at the expense of being heavier and a little bit more difficult to shape.
1.6 mm has the Best of both worlds

I used 18 gauge/1.2mm NS4 throughout, the floor was nice and stiff, NS4 is half hard aluminium, this specification is important

Just make sure you use cleco clamps to get it nice and taught

I used sealed AD54SB rivets to keep the chassis sealed from water ingress
