How much is a large amount? My next door neighbour at the unit buys CSM in rolls about 4 foot wide by about a foot and a half in diameter! I can ask him where he gets it from or if they wont sell in singles and can probably persuade him to sell you a single roll

Of what weight glass - 20sq metres at 200gsm is rather different to 20m^2 with 1200gsm!?

As said EastCoast are the best, ring them up and tell them what your doing and what you need and they will pull everything together for you.

Now there's a thing what type do i need. I am making a full roof for my seven.

If you ring them eith the weight of glass and 20m's with enough resin they will sort it all out for you. They will send enough tools for that amount as well if you want them.

I'm planing on a roof for my jeep.. I'm thinking of making a rough wood mould just for the basic shape and putting foam over it then glassing the outside with mat then flowcoat... carpet on the inside.

EC sell foam sheets that are designed for glassing in various thickness's, I was thinking of 5mm. I think the benefit would be an insulated roof with no condensation, light, but not flimsy.. does that make sense?

Another vote for Eastcoast. They have been so helpful and steered me away from bad choices when I've asked them for advice.

Hi

I use Allscot: http://www.allscotltd.co.uk/

Good info on fibreglass fabrication and repair for cars is in Miles Wilkin's book 'How to Restore Fibreglass bodywork' Osprey Publishing (reprint from: http://www.lotus-books.com/additions.html ) and Simon McBeath's 'Competition Car Composites' Haynes Publishing (from: http://www.haynes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=49801&langId=-1 )

Cheers
Mike

20 sq m isn't much. Company I'm working for lays down approx 10 tonnes of the stuff into a single 60m mould.

East Coast is cheaper than Allscot on most resins and materials, although I use both
