Where to get repair panels for volvos
Mr Whippy - 13/12/17 at 12:54 PM

Hi,

Bought back the wife's S60 to repair myself and have managed to get second hand door, bumper, wing etc but also need repair panels for the rear corner of the car. I've obviously been spoiled by availability of parts for Landy's and other classic cars.

I have no idea where to even buy weld on repair panels for this car, would the dealer be the best bet?

Any one able to help?

Thanks

Have you had a look at German, Swedish and French (GSF). I've pretty good at parts for Peugeot and VW cars.

Sorry do you mean part suppliers from those country's? I've been googling and found what I need but in Russia! hmm not sure how to even order parts so far away but not tried the countries you suggest

this a Russian site and I'd be laughing if I could buy a panel like this easily as it's exactly what I need

Is that the front or rear panel?

Any scrapyards near you?

Wrong end of the country, but there used to one close to me where they'd pretty much let you wander around and look for stuff.

Surely that's just a 2nd hand panel chopped off a scrapper? Maybe you need to do the same

There is a Volvo graveyard just off the a1 near tempsford. I think he has every variant. I know that he's 500 miles away but it may be the last resort. It is certainly the last resting place for many Volvos.

Alternatively I found online scrap yards for Peugeot parts were excellent and maybe the same is available for your Volvo.

Thanks, yeah maybe need to ask around to see if anyone does chop off sections from damaged cars like the above in this country. I know in the states they sell whole complete front ends etc. Can't watt to see the car back and find out just what the damage really is, hedging my bets that the bumper took almost all of it and I'll be able to pull out the rest...

Volvo and Saab - seems to have a liking for Swedish motors!

Mr Whippy - 14/12/17 at 12:28 PM

thanks for that

I've used "partsforsaabs.com" in the past and they have a sister site partsforvolvosonline.com
