Help identifying radiator
number-1 - 26/10/18 at 05:55 PM

I know this will be a tough one to crack....but....... can anyone tell me what this radiator is from?

Its 280mm x 275mm x 50mm. The inlet/outlets are for 25mm cooling pipes. It only has a bleed nipple on top and no filler cap. Its heavy so presume its from an older car.

Every time ive contacted them, they cant really help me out as when the current owner purchased Roadrunner racing they started on the 7 style car and had no dealings with the SR1 single seater

It looks as if the corners of your rad are very square unlike any rad I've seen , it may be a one off? I would take your rad to your local radiator specialist and see what they say?

What do you mean by older car?

Radiators from older cars had radiator caps. What you have looks like it's been modified, the right angle brackets don't look standard.

Why do you need to know, there have been many hundreds of different radiators made over the years, so bound to be something that you could use.

Yeah i initially thought it was bespoke for the car but the top right angle brackets dont get used at all. Id have thought if it was bespoke then the additional brackets wouldn't be there

As for the older car part.....somewhere in the deepest part of my brain i recall seeing something like a Triumph, or MG with a similar rad but google has drawn a blank

The reason im asking is to see if theres a cheap option to replace them for something newer and lighter.
