Hi Folks
Do i need a vacuum take off on my inlet manifold to run my carbs ,running a pedal box so dont need vacuum for a servo thanks in advance Richard

only if you want to use the vac advance on the dizzy.

As above you only need it to run a vac advance or a MAP sensor for the ignition

If you've not got a dizzy then it will be easier to use the TPS that comes on the carbs instead of a MAP sensor.

But if you want to run either a vac advance or a MAP sensor then you'll need a take off point on each branch of the manifold, then join these together in a small chamber and the run a line from this to the sensor / dizzy.
The evens out the pulses you get in the vac lines from the each cylinder which can upset ignition systems


If you do fit a take off on each cylinder they can also be used for balancing the carbs

Will be running a nodiz unit with TPS so was not sure

Just blank them off so you can use them for balancing.
