Nodiz
sprouts-car - 13/9/13 at 10:56 AM

Morning all,

My brother is looking at using Nodiz for his mini.

I hadn't heard of them before but does anyone know anything about them?

Good/bad points etc?

Ta

Bloke who frequents here does them.

From my understanding, he has a rolling road and started off doing megasquirts and over time progressed to making nodiz.

Unfortunately i can't remember who he is, but i'm sure he'll be along shortly.

I'm running one on my XR2 turbo - so far so good, lots of nice features :-)

Have a look over on the mini forums lots of guys over there are running them now (we did a few group buys back in Jan)...

Hope everyone is well? I just got a google alert on 'nodiz' hence me dropping by!!

The new NODIZ Micro will be out shortly.... if you can wait a few weeks may be able to get your brother on the Beta testers list?

Going to be retailing at £149inc

Cheers

Hi Matt,

What functions will that have and what exactly will it be capable of doing?

Thanks
Jon

Seems he's been in touch!

I'm always amazed that the internet connects to the real world.

Indeed, our paths have officially crossed hehe

This unit just like the NODIZ has the following:
-Coil Drviers built-in (no need for external EDIS modules)
-16x16 3D mappable using external TPS or MAP sensor
-60-2 or 36-1 trigger wheel support (so no need for extra trigger wheels on most engines!)

Unlike the NODIZ Pro version it doesent have programmable outputs, on unit setup via push-buttons (you need to use a laptop to zero timing and configure TPS like most ECUs), or launch control.

It does however still have blue-tooth built in so you can use your android phone as a digital dash.

It is also smaller than a zippo lighter, so can be easily hidden away in the wiring loom...

We will do a group buy nearer launch

Cheers
Matt

On another note...

I have created a youtube channel showing various things like how ECUs, sensors etc work, and also will be putting up vids on demos of the NODIZ in use etc, so please subscribe!!
