R500 or Atom
scootz - 25/8/11 at 03:57 PM

For me, these two are the ultimate in small track-biased cars.

But which one would you go for!?

I think it would have to be the R500 for me...

v8 busa atom with that really expensive air gear box

kevmcdo - 25/8/11 at 04:03 PM

R500 all day long......

Coopz - 25/8/11 at 04:06 PM

R500 for me all day long, although I would be very tempted by the Radical SR3 SL

Gordy - 25/8/11 at 04:09 PM

Check out the 'BAC Mono'

Whichever one you buy Scootz, I'll buy it off you in 6 months time for half its cost.

DixieTheKid - 25/8/11 at 04:16 PM

~The R500 has way more class!~

If only I could afford one of them...

mark chandler - 25/8/11 at 04:19 PM

You are all wrong, its the Atom...

I do not like the way they look but technology has moved along.... got to move with the times I,m afraid.

tompat3463 - 25/8/11 at 04:19 PM

what about Caparo T1 if U had the money ??

that would be my choice

mookaloid - 25/8/11 at 04:22 PM

That's a really tricky decision - I am totally with you on this.

When I had a chance on one of those supercar days to pick one to have a blast in, I chose the Atom - whilst it was really really quick (obviously) the driving position was very uncomfortable for me. I don't know if that could have been changed but on that basis for me it would be the R500

Johneturbo - 25/8/11 at 04:25 PM

Neither, it would have to be a Radical SR4

but if you forced me to have one, i'd go for the Atom

Caterham for road and a bit of track, Atom for track and a bit of road.

DRC INDY 7 - 25/8/11 at 05:22 PM

None of them even less so the atom thought the atom was quick till i passed and left one in the distance at bruntingthorpe

Surely a lot depends on the driver, and / or what he was doing at the time you passed him?

I'll bet you could pass me if I was driving a Red Bull F1 car cos I'm a pants track driver!

Didn't one of those try to turn Jason Plato into Nikki Lauda

Kwik - 25/8/11 at 06:37 PM

the caparo that blew up was a prototype, the car you buy seems ok.

but wouldnt want one as a track car anyway, too much money if i crash it, and no fun if you just stick to the ground.

i would say the v8 atom but take the down force off

Nash - 26/8/11 at 11:35 PM
