Will need a lot more than a badly cgi'd advert to convince me its a bonafide hot hatch. Will have to wait for some reviews. Any out there?

As a devout 205 GTI fan and serial owner I love to see the car in action like that.

However 30 years is a long time and the 208 GTI can only be judged against its contemporaries, some of which are very good!

At least Peugeot haven't resorted to badging it a "New" 205 unlike the "New" Mini, Beetle, Fiat 500 etc.

that's pretty much what I was thinking...


a few seconds of the old add where someone had to actually do those stunts (individually at least) followed by the rest of the add with less convincing CGI than you get on most low budget films these days....

The 205 in the ad must of taken up the whole budget, awful.

its fast and the furious done badly.

I really want to start listing and ranting about the ridiculous points in that add but I will refrain.

nooooo, I cant! Ill list one:

- Tyre screech noise as he hand brakes on snow
- changing up gear at every single cut scene.

nope, must stop!!

aghhh, I cant:

- the rev gauge flicking round quicker than a F1 car
