Micro Jump starter pack
NigeEss - 15/7/15 at 11:04 PM

Saw one in Costco the other day, just under £50 and thought I'd give it a go on the basis that their no quibble
returns policy would be in order if it were a crock of sh1t.
It's not much bigger than an iPhone 6+ but about 20mm thick and the blurb said 200a jump current and will jump
start a car just like a full size unit.
Yeh, right I thought.

So it's now fully charged and I have here a 2002 1.9tdi Passat, with a very flat battery, ignition lights up but as soon
as try to start it they all go out, not even a click from the starter solenoid.

Time for a laugh I thought, connected the leads of the micro pack to the Passat battery, and turned the key, car lurched
forward as it was in gear. Select neutral, try again and the bloody thing started ! Never before has the skeptic in
me been so shocked

More surprised it worked on a diesel! I looked at them on a stall at Goodwood but they said only suitable for petrol cars and a lot more expensive than that, pity we have Costco locally.
