Yet another Nurburgring lap...
David Jenkins - 21/3/16 at 08:04 PM

...in a race, with Sabine Schmitz.

What a ruthless (but very good) drive - started near the back of the field, passed almost everybody by the end of the first lap. On a wet track, too.

She qualified out of position, so the majority of people she overtook had way less experience and much less power than her GT car

I'm guessing you could've done the same in a van?

I guessed that it was something like that - I wondered if she'd made some minor infringement in qualifying and got put at the back of the grid. She whizzed past the back of the grid, got past the middle order quite smartly, and was rapidly catching the front-runners by the end of the lap.

Where did the van come from?

"Where did the van come from?"

she was in a silver/grey transit, awesome drive

I do like her though, she's a character, and rather infectous

Looks like a the slower cars were well aware she' qualified out of position and were staying out of her way. There were even a few indicating to let her through and "thank you" waves.

You are right, she was let through quite a bit and clearly had loads more power than many of the cars she was passing.

Doesn't the fact that she is a girl mean we could all drive better than her, or is that view a bit out of date?

Where did the van come from?

She did it in 10minutes in a standard Transit van.

I am aware of the lap in the van, just that the video was taken from her Porsche!

He was quoting her - aimed at you.

As in 'do you think you could do better?'
