Had a bad experience with this guy says he can do loads of work to finish my car had it since begining of april done nothing except fit the seats can't do diddly so if you see his advert or web site stay well clear

D Beddows - 27/8/10 at 07:17 PM

aka Mr Henderson on here?? possibly not but...

Building a couple of kit cars and having some educational qualification in engineering doesn't automaticaly mean you're Colin Chapman... but it doesn't stop people making out they are

McLannahan - 27/8/10 at 07:39 PM

Kitfinishers.co.uk is Mr Henderson's business.

Other than "the discussion" which resulted in him seeming to leave this forum, I don't recall any negative comments about his business?

I remember a few jokes about breeze blocks supports but have I missed something?

ReMan - 27/8/10 at 07:55 PM

Has anyone on here actually had any work done by him?
AFAIK, they had'nt

steve m - 27/8/10 at 07:57 PM

Neither has the OP !!

RAYLEE29 - 27/8/10 at 08:21 PM

Ray

gottabedone - 27/8/10 at 08:26 PM

He posted pics of his workshop and most members were glad that it wasn't their cars sat unchocked on 4 foot piles of breeze blocks!

I'll be in the back row with the cokes and minstrels!

He (Mr Henderson) uses pistonheads a fair bit under the user name of single coil, i wouldnt bother trawling through it though well not unless you cant sleep... at all.

But "D300's" isn't a sentence. If the context of the sentence makes it clear that the s at the end indicates a plural, then there is no need for an apostrophe.
As I say though, it doesn't necessarily indicate a plural as there is also a "D300s" model, the result of which was I was misunderstood.
It's the context that is important. For instance, if someone takes " a few D300s" as anything other than the plural of D300 then they are not reading the sentence properly. It's all easily avoided, of course, with- "A few D300 units"

Did you not save me just a little bit of pinot noir?

On these occasions I rather like licorice. There is some new (for me) Australian soft stuff that's very good, as long as you don't OD on it and get sick, like I did once.

dickie b - 28/8/10 at 06:12 AM

Mr Henderson / kitfinishers worked on repairing my Fury chassis a year or so ago.

It involved a lot of welding and tubing putting back into the chassis to accomodate a k-series install.

The guy was friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The work was good quality and the price was fair too.

My chassis was resting on a workbench made of breeze blocks and wood - but could I give a toss? No. The business was just getting started (with a lot of new tools in the workshop) and the end result was what I wanted. At sensible money.

Sad to hear the comments here, but in my experience (admittedly a while back) I would recommend the guy.

just thought I would comment here.

Richard

Hmm, RK I find too much liquorice gives me the runs but it is nice.

I have no connection with Mr H but aren't you all jumping on the same bandwagon before hearing the other side of the story?

We have noticed that folks are more liklely to post negative comments on public foeum about serves received or not, as allegedly in this case, than post for a standard or good service.

Let's not be too hasty to judge.

If Mr H has 'quit' the forum, it was/is his choice.... no one else's..... perhaps he is back under another 'sign-up'? .... who knows?

Krismc - 30/8/10 at 07:13 PM

Dont get me onto SO CALLED KIT CAR FINISHERS - QUICK QUICK QUICK they all say.

I completed 95% of my car in 2006, it went to a kit/engine finisher for several months(no names - He was understaffed and overworked, belive his work is fine now),

Then in went to BEC owners club as said he would SVA it for the Final Final finish (8weeks they said) was Several Months (a million i believe) overdue when i finally got it back and the car wasnt finished and he cashed a cheque for something he didnt do and closed his business and buggered off, then in went too another KIT CAR SPECIALIST, they also said 2 weeks, it was there 12 weeks and then went back for 5 weeks - car was even worse condition - so bad the wiring is now due a full overhaul.

Now its 2010 i finally took it to MNR who are actually decent people and finishing the car for me at the correct timescale as promised.

Dont trust anyone apart from big Kit Companys they are the true specialists.

My £6k car is £26k and counting
