Anyone been to the Schlumpf motor museum in France?

I'm thinking of treating myself to a visit to the Schlumpf Motor Museum in France, also known as the Cité de l'Automobile which is in Mulhouse, Alsace. they describe themselves as being the best motor museum in the world?

Anyone been? Is it good enough for a day trip to France as a treat to myself for, errr, not sure sure what yet but I'll invent a reason.

Well their French so would say that, their egos are only matched by their lack of fighting ability

I went last year, I could have stetched the trip to two days there is so much to see. The old GP cars are especialy interesting to me but the Bugatis are great.
The displays are really well presented with the lighting pole made out like old streets.
If you do go, go early as you will need a full day to see it all.

I have been and it is a huge display well worth a visit. If you are going just for one day you must get there early to stand a chance of seeing it all. What is mind blowing is that all the cars there were only discvered due to industrial action, as the workers stormed the building which was off limit to all but those employed to restore them. The business was on its knees yet there was millions of pounds worth of cars that could have saved it. The brothers escaped to Switzerland and the French goverment took it over.
