My trailer is looking a bit dull, is there anything that will make the galvanising look bright again?? I was thinking something like cilit bang may do the trick?
some sort of rubbing compound might do it better i think?

coca-cola? vinegar?
Polish a trailer???
You must be bored!
I'd not bother, just wash.. The dullness is the Zinc oxidizing rather than the steel... If you want to make it bright again you will remove this
top layer and probably increase the rate at which the zinc is lost..
I.e. reduce the life of the trailer..

^^
Just wash with some car shampoo then.. Should be fine. Just don't wash the grease of the mechanical bits..

Yeah, as said, the dullness that zinc coating develop over time is the formation of zinc oxide. Ie, your looking at and oxide layer not bright zinc.
However unlike ferrus oxide (red rust) the zinc oxide forms a coheasive layer with then protects the under lying zinc, so although you can removed it
and get back to bright zinc you are actaully damaging the coating in the process.
If you do want to do anything to trailer coatings to improve then, the thing to do it keep the clean in the early life (first 6 months or year) so the
oxide forms in a nice even layer. Makes them last longer and makes the oxide look a bit nicer. As detailed in most trailer care booklets i guess,
certainly mentioned on the ifor williams info guff.
