Marmite XO and Cheese Sarni's - oh I say missus!!!
Steve
No.........The cheese IS Marmite as in, brand and logo .... they are available in individual 'portions' in a net of 5... or as a
larger round trug encased in black wax with the Marmite logo...
It tastes and looks like the marmite has been melted/mixed into the cheese during the maturing process...
Fozzie
Na you are all mad and should go and buy MRS BALLS chutney instead.
Fozzie - has nayone ever pointed out that you have a Marmite fixation?
Mind you - I've just put XO on my wife's shopping list!

I just couldn't resist any longer and went to the smaller but more local Sainsburys, didn't even have it marked on the shelf (XO) yet alone

I had to cut back on marmite, I needed so much in a sarnie to taste it.
She'll have to get some of this OX stuff for me
Try this:
Microwave three eggs (one whole / two whites) for 1m10secs then stir around and microwave for another 1m10secs.
Have this in a nice thick brown roll smothered in marmite.
Had that for breakfast for the last 10 years
eeeewwwwwwyuck.......

I finally got a pot of XO from the big Tesco Extra store I pass on the way back from work. It's certainly strong, and a nice change from the
normal stuff. I noticed there is also a Marstons Marmite in a red jar, but didn't get that.
I did go on a bit of a Marmite spree though, and ended up with the Marmite XO, breadsticks and cashews The cashews are lovely, extremely
addictive!
Fozz, if you get desperate I'd be happy to send you a jar of XO in the post!

Don't knock it till you've tried it and if you have there's no accounting for taste (yours)

Finally got round to getting some. It's very nice but doesn't seem any stronger to me...
I think its more mellow, less sharp - think I prefer it!
Chris
If you like cashew nuts you have to try the Marmite ones, they are about the most addictive snack I've ever tried.
