We are looking to hire/purchase a metal storage container. Has anyone got any recommendations or contacts. We are in the Swindon area and will probably need something in the region of 12-15 feet long and around 7-8 feet wide.

Can't help with contacts but by definition an ISO container will be 2438 mm wide and 6058 mm long (20 foot container).
Height will be 2591, or 2670 mm

all iso<s are 20/ 30 or 40ft dont think 45ft will be available yet.lots go for sale google is your friend.

There's a place just not far from here that makes containers, Mayfly Containers and they do design and manufacture. Don't know if they do a hire service though. Mayfly

We use these at work for either fitted out office/welfare or as bare units for storage, based in Gloucestershire but have delivered for us from Cornwall to Aberdeen.

There stuff may be a bit pricey for your needs but worth a bell as they may have seconds or a reject they could do cheap.

Worth remembering as standard they are only secure by a padlock so not pikey proof if they have the tools. Need a HIAB to offload as well so price for delivery not cheap. Could also try ringing around the local container hire places for any coming to end of their life.

I bought two last year, 40ft, one a high top and one regular. Cost me £3200 for the pair delivered. Ebay and lots of ringing around is the way to go. Don't necessarily accept the first price!
