As the links in this thread from five years ago are mostly defunct, I'll start his thread again.

Fast forward from 2008 to now.......
Emlyn has continued to battle each and every day and will be attempting to walk a mile. Not hard for most 8 year olds but if you take a bit of time to read

Any parent must try to understand what it must be like to live with such circumstances so have a peep here and do your stuff

Thanks folks.

Just read the link and it made me "well up" what a brave little girl, will be donating tonight when I get home.
Good luck and all the best to you and your family and anyone else having to suffer this illness. I am quite ashamed to say that I had never heard of the condition until now.

Regards Warren

Cheers guys.
Emlyn isn't my daughter, but her parents are very good friends of ours. Emlyn is the same as my son so it really hits home when I see them together. I get frustrated when my boy forgets to flush the bog. Emlyn is wearing a nappy. And often not wearing it where it should be.....

Despite the lack of posts on this thread, it seems quite a few of you have visited Emlyns page and donated.
Emlyns parents send their thanks. I'll try to post up some piccies of the event next week.
Thanks again folks.
Owelly.

Emlyns 'Walk a Mile in My Shoes' has snowballed into a fairly large event! Family fun all day at the Hare & Hounds pub in Hawsker near Whitby, with several live bands and late license until 2am! I'll buy a drink for anyone that attends from here and finds me!!
