dont make them like that any more

They had only announced a one off and a possible new series. A good actor and comic, loved some of the things he came out with.

When Rodney and his wife were expecting, if its a girl they will call her sigorney after the actress and if its a boy they will call him Rodney after Dave

Trigger's broom was a classic!

RIP

My favourite the was the looking around the Wine bar when Delboy leant against the bar. That was funnier than the fall itself!

Just about the most painful way to go …… sad.

Sad day

The broom sketch and the bar sketch with del boy were superb

David Jenkins - 16/1/14 at 06:54 PM

He was one of those actors that Britain is really good at producing - at first glance they play just a minor part, then you realise that the whole sketch is built around him/her, and just wouldn't work with a lesser actor.

A sad loss - 69 is no age whatsoever these days...

A great loss. Loved him in Dibly too.

I only realised today looking through his pictures that it was him in dibley (I think the beard confused me) but sad to go at 69.

Agreed. Saw him in a 3-handed play called "Art". RLP, Barry Foster, and Nigel Havers starred together. Proper acting?? Deffo - in one key scene, RLP had a non-stop speech, full of passion, conviction and power - lasted 9 mins.

That takes a proper actor. Sad loss to the theatre, and life.

He was in a Harry Potter as well, one of those actors who could turn his talent to anything but his deadpan was best. Nice tribute on Sky news site illustrating how versatile he was but he will always be Trigger in everyone's memory.
