What is it with ebay at the moment - seems to be full of idiots!

Sold a lathe a couple of weeks go. Seller bids twice 5 min before auction ends and is the only bidder so wins the auction. After 24 hours no communication so drop them a nice message and the invoice. After 7 days of trying t get in touch with no comms from them I have to give in and get ebay to open a case against them.

Then I won a pipercross airfilter, paid for it etc,, waited 7 day and never arrived. Tried contacting the seller an no response. Then checked his feedback an realised he had sold the item 2 times before and never sent it. Now waiting for ebay to get my money back. So watch out for seller scottl5488!!

I hate ebay with a passion, even though it is the source of 99% of the sales for my business. I pay them about £1k a month in fees for my sales, and yet I still get sh!t on by them every time a stupid ebay user doesn't read an advert and abuses the system. I am ebays customer! I am the one who pays ebays bills! They should back business sellers more.

I have an account with 99.6% positive feedback but because a few people buy things without reading the adverts then want to return the items, I get my account punished and restrictions placed on it. Had my selling allowances slashed from £75k a month to £12k a month within 4 months and they dont bat an eyelid or try to understand. However Argos have an ebay account and are allowed to list millions of ponds of stock yet they only have a feedback score of 98.something%....... you tell me who is the better ebayer and who they should stand by???

I could rant for hours about ebay, but.......... until there is something out there that can reach as big an audience there is simply nothing to compete with it
