Not at the moment, but grew up there for 18 years.

Great time to go now, a lot quieter but still nice and hot!

Suggest you go to the mountains - great roads, views and some nice walks up there. Nice monasteries and fish taverns if that's your thing.

If you're there for 2 weeks, you can pretty much explore the whole island... ALthough Pafos itself is nice to chill out in! (a bit colder and windier than the east this time of year)

My mother overwinters there, flying from Edi this Sat, returns in May.

She has a house just outside Foinikaria / Φοινικάρια .

EDIT

The forum doesn't like cyrillic very much

tbh it was the holiday I hated the most!

I forget where it was (must have blanked it from my mind...) large costal town, but they drove like total psychopaths everywhere day, morning and night it was scary to even try and cross the road, place looked like a half finished dump. Never ever going back.

If anywhere qualified for a nuclear testing site that island was it

Yep here until Friday chilling on holiday..... With the wife....

I had quite a nice time in the Karpas Peninsula but that's in the North bit (the bit which doesn't officially exist).

I was in July, in Paphos for a couple of days, Nicosia. Parilimni, and a drive through Trodos. I've driven quite a bit in Cyprus and is much more civilised than London

There seems to be sevens all around the world.
Surely there has to be some here.

When I'm there I really want to spend my holiday going round the scrap yards that are scattered over the island looking for old non rusty Alfas and Citroens but unfortunately I don't think it would go down very well.

Didn't the rather outspoken GTS owner from Aberdeenshire go to live in Cyprus ? Sorry I can't remember the name but somebody will

I remember him - very funny if a bit obnoxious. Can't remember his name either though.

Macbeast - 25/9/15 at 08:10 AM

I went back on the GTS section to try to find his name but I seem to remember he left in a huff and deleted all his posts :-)

Mr Whippy - 25/9/15 at 11:47 AM

Mark or CaLviNx iirc, actually met him twice and was a nice bloke though he dad something against hellfire for some reason. Was on here for some time after he supposedly left under other user names, for all I know he may still be. I think he suffered a broken axle with his GTS. Can’t remember why he left though in the end he got baned and yes he deleted his whole existence of locostbuilders bar one post!

SJ - 25/9/15 at 12:02 PM

That was the bloke.

He seemed to think MKs were the spawn of the devil and took against anyone who disagreed with him. If half he said about them was true I'd be dead in a ditch by now.

Macbeast - 27/9/15 at 04:17 PM

That's him. I don't know what happened but for a long time he defended Darren GTS against all negative comments and then suddenly took against him. Maybe it was the broken axle did that.

JoelP - 27/9/15 at 08:15 PM

Those were funny days, he came back as dragon performance eu for a bit. Chris changed the forum to stop people deleting their posts since then, either him or dear sid caused that!

Wasnt Gman in Nicosia?
