Wanted - Property Lawyer

From past experience it is rare that someone on this forum does not know the answer to virtually any question, so here goes.

I'm looking for a recommendation for a lawyer who specialises in property law. Just to be clear, this is not a conveyance matter, but a potential property dispute in relation to a warranty on a property that, quite frankly, has never been fit for purpose since the day it was built. I will not go into details here as I don't want to prejudice a potential court case, but there are several years of exchanges of letters, surveys and attempted remedies involved and, as it involves an older person (not me!), its the sort of case that you see on Watchdog.

Someone located in either the Nottingham area (which is where I am located) or the Newcastle area (which is where the property is located) would be ideal. I was in the property development business myself a good few years ago and was involved in a case (that we won) that went all the way to the House of Lords, so I am more informed that the average client. Unfortunately, I've lost touch with the legal teams that I used to work with at the time (plus they were City corporate lawyers so probably out of my price bracket due to the risk of not recovering our costs from the other side).

I've not definitely decided to take formal legal action at the moment, so I'm really just getting my options together at the moment.

I have messaged my regular property lawyer to see if this would interest him and I will put you in touch if it does.
