im trying to find a address but i only no the phone number of the property is this possible.

i no its nothing to do with the build but thought it might be worth a try

There used to be a thing called 'UK Info disc' (or similar) that could do a reverse lookup on the phone book. No idea if it's still around tho.

are you sure chris, i thought reverse lookup was police only stuff, i had uk info disc and i am pretty sure you could'nt do reverse lookup, however my buddy at uni said he had written a program to suck the info from the disc into an access file so anythings possible i guess

Probably not I suspect or you wouldn't be asking the question.

Have you Googled the phone number - sometimes throws something up.

Alternatively have a look HERE this may help to narrow it down a bit.

Yeah the Uk Info disc I had done a reverse look up. That was a while ago now though (98/99??) so they may of removed the feature in later versions.

Years ago, I used to use www.192.com but they now have registered user's and all that tihs to stop abuse. Have a go.... you may have to register though...

Make a friend in the local BT Call Centre. Nearly all employees there will be able to find the address with a bit of ingenuity. It's not legal, but I'd have done it for £50.

Its a sackable offence, as well as breaking several other laws. ie data Protection Act, the computer misuse act, your employment contract, etc etc
Not a good idea for employees to engage in such activities.

The UK Info disk (and several other similar products that did reverse lookup) were all banned a few years back. If you can still find one, you're likely to find that its so far out of date as to be useless.

So, depending on why you need the address your best bet may be with police assistance, as they can usually do this sort of thing. However, if these people are using VoIP then you are into another level of difficulty entirely. In any case, your problem will be getting the police involved I suspect. They always seem to have something more important to be doing, like refilling the safety cameras, I assume

you could copy the scammers, and pretend to be calling from their bank!

Just ring up and ask them even if you use an excuse telling them they have won a random prize (they may be gullable) or something similar . P.S. This doesn't involve broken legs does it ?

I have rung BT before and they will pin it down to an area smaller than the area code for you, but not to an address.
