excellent video steve
i know its early days yet but can you tell a difference now its been re mapped?
your vid brought back memories of when mine was on the rolling road.
i must say i liked the sound of your engine bouncing off the rev limiter more than i did my own. scary or what.
i will second your comments re holeshot racing. top blokes who know there stuff

Volvorsport - 30/9/05 at 07:55 PM

mine says its got an error !

JoelP - 30/9/05 at 08:02 PM

i had mine one a rolling road, he didnt strap it down?! Just had me balancing on the roll bar...

drmike54 - 30/9/05 at 08:03 PM

11,750 RPM.
I love the sound.

skydivepaul - 30/9/05 at 08:25 PM

I saw that you ended up with 152BHP.
What did you start off with? Can you notice the difference in driveability and performance??

Cheers

Paul

Hellfire - 30/9/05 at 08:40 PM

Started at 147bhp got to 152bhp
Started at 85Nm got 88Nm

Not much improvement on figures but the flat spots were everywhere so driveability will be improved. Dad drove to Holeshot and back (my back probs) and said it has made a real difference as it's a lot sharper from low rev's.

Thanks for the positive comments - no negative one's yet?

rug - 30/9/05 at 08:50 PM

JoelP - 30/9/05 at 09:01 PM

only neg i could think of, to be honest, is the volume of music over the vid - makes it hard to hear the business when you have it on quiet (swmbo trying to watch TV )

all good aside from that, i even downloaded you player!

Gav - 30/9/05 at 09:40 PM

Nice, very nice

hearnia - 30/9/05 at 09:49 PM

Volvorsport - 1/10/05 at 05:10 PM

yeah baby ,

was that two fans they had on at the front ?

what did the actually do - settings wise ?

Hellfire - 1/10/05 at 05:23 PM

They had two cooling fans at the front and one dedictaed exhaust fan and one general fan. We have totally cured the overheating problem as he kept having to stop as the engine was too cold!

He altered fuel/air mixtures at specific rev's to eliminate the flat spots using the power commander. Obviously you can't do this with carb's!

Arjan356 - 1/10/05 at 07:20 PM

Whow, nice...very nice...:-)

billy - 1/10/05 at 08:45 PM

Oh man thats SWEEEEEEEEEET

Hellfire - 2/10/05 at 09:08 AM

We arrived at holeshot for 8:00... after a small chat and set-up of the roller's we were on the roller's I'd say 9:00. The session was finished for 11:00. Total bill came to £140 +VAT which; for the time he spent on it we though was very reasonable. As the alterations were made via a PC he never had to touch the engine. This would be different if you were tuning carb's but he says it's easy, just not as easy as FI.

I've never met a more knowledgeable guy who certainly knows his stuff regarding bike engines. I'm not too sure if he is quite so knowledgeable regarding car engines though as he specialises in bikes.

I hope this video has given some insight as to what Jack does and use him to tune your motor...

greggors84 - 2/10/05 at 06:37 PM

Nice video and great sounding engine.

Was it 152 bhp at fly or wheels?

Hellfire - 2/10/05 at 08:12 PM

Wheels

Hellfire - 3/10/05 at 06:08 PM

Just gotta try and reduce the Db levels for trackdays without sapping too much power
