What a day i had!! My new baby.
Danozeman - 5/5/06 at 08:29 AM

Well. 3 o clock yesterday morning my wife started her contractions.

12:40 our little daughter Rosie-May was born. 7lbs 7 ounces.

Her breathing slowed down because she was having trouble coming out. The midwifes called the paramedics to whip her to hospital to have an emergency sizerian. But when the ambulance came she decided to come out but wasnt breathing so they whipped her straight to hospital. She started breathing ok half way there. We followed up in another ambulance to see her. aving only seen her for 2 seconds before they whipped her away it was a refief t know she was ok.

Theyv kept them both in to make sure shes ok and her breathing has stabilised so ill be back and forward to hospital.

JUst thought id share our good news. Rescued attachment P1010130.JPG

Becoming a Dad was the most amazing 32 hours of my life (not sure the wife was so happy about the 32 hours labour though.

the advice I was always given was to enjoy every day as they change so quickly.

Congratulations

DorsetStrider - 5/5/06 at 09:11 AM

Why am I thinking about that advert on tv at the moment, you know the one with the guy in the classic car getting an insurance quote for an MPV?

You get to send them home when you've had enough . Congratulations to you all and take lots of pictures and keep them in order of time so you can embarrass her when she gets uppity.

Congratulations youve only got to wait about 18 years and she'll be bringing all her mates home and you'll be making a right fool of yourself.

And tell her to stay away from boys till she's 43.

Well done to the pair of you. The good old National health service has taken a real hammering lately, but its not until you experience this sort of thing that we appreciate how good it actually is. !

DarrenW - 5/5/06 at 10:59 AM

Theres no better feeling in the world (apart from when car fires up for first time!!!). Huge congrats from me. Im pleased i have a vid camera to capture special moments.

Well done - cherish every moment.

How many more are you going for? If you only want one now is a good time to get a signed statement from your wife!!!!

Congrats....

Coo they even come with connections for the ECU nowadays! (I assume thats what the two chest plugs are for)
Its great... until they get 6ft 5" and 18 stone... I have to be nice to him now

DIY Si - 5/5/06 at 06:41 PM

Congrats mate. Hoping it'll be a while before I've got one on the way! I'd never get the car finished if that happened.
It happened like that with my dad. I hit 6'3" and started playing rugby. He gave up play fighting as I bet him.

We made the most of it 2 ambulances and 3 midwives.

They are both still in hospital but are well. We were coming home today but Rosie just wanted to sleep and not feed so they wanted to keep them in 1 more night to make sure. She's feeding ok now.

Thankyou all for your kind words, Means alot.

Danozeman - 5/5/06 at 10:12 PM

You say about the connections for the ECU. she looked like that when she was in the incubator with all the wires etc connected.

Simon - 6/5/06 at 12:00 AM

All the best to the three of you.

The hard (but best) bit starts now
