RazMan - 27/4/08 at 10:55 AM

Why do some people have this obcession to mix cars with water?

David Jenkins - 27/4/08 at 11:12 AM

Maybe they needed one of these...

If you don't mind running at 5mpg on the road, that is!

I just happen to know where there is one in someones front garden. AFAIK it hasn't moved for years

mangogrooveworkshop - 27/4/08 at 02:39 PM

There is a more serious side to this.....why the hell does this country want to legislate everyone out of existance

piper the plane maker nearly went to the wall after a few crashes by stupid americans suein the maker off the face of the earth.

The triking that crashed on a kitcar demo and broke the guys arm.........he sued the maker and shut the company down and put the man on his ass

Hellfire - 27/4/08 at 03:03 PM

£34,000 for this;

Looks like an error has been made with a few noughts. Surely they mean £34

They managed to pilot two of them across the channel in a fairly heavy swell, so they can't be that unstable.

But..............its supposed to float ?

smart51 - 27/4/08 at 04:34 PM

Jail is quite a serious punishment for someone who designed a car that, to my knowledge, hasn't injured anyone. Especially as muggers only get ASBOs. If someone had died then maybe but the worst that should happen in this case is taking them off sale and perhaps if serious enough buying back any cars sold.

Prison should only be for bad things that HAVE happened, not that might happen.

D Beddows - 28/4/08 at 01:08 PM

Surely if you're going to spend £34,000 on any vehicle you'd go and visit the manufacturer, have a test drive/float etc etc before you ordered it?? not wait a year for it to turn up, decide it's actually not what you want and then sue the manufacturer because you couldn't be *rsed researching it enough!!

I suspect the full story may not be being reported but if that is the full story.......

RazMan - 28/4/08 at 09:00 PM

That certainly sounds more feasible explanation - the media sometimes get a little economical with the facts
