can anyone tell me if you can have a brazed fule tank instead of a welded one? i can solder / silver solder / braze a sealed tank no probs but not sure about welding one

have braized diesel tanks on buses before now and aint had any problems with them leaking after

also braized exhausts on buses as tempy fixes

Brazing a tank is ok, will work fine.

Unless you want an Ali one then give me a shout, I can make one to your spec or supply one of my standard tanks.

I wish I had known you were doing tanks for other people, had one done for me the other week. I have no complaints about the tank I have (it's actually a very good piece of work). But the stainless tank I saw in your Avon a while back was an impressive piece of work. Well maybe when (if ?) the aluminium one I have gets damaged you can do me a stainless one.

If you don't want to mess around binraker get some like Tim to make your tank for you (it won't leak and will fit properly)

well i am an electrical engineer by hobby and i have soldered and brazed loads of sheet and chuncks of metal. i have also dome some phosphor-copper work on a boiler im building for another project. and im going to (once i have somewhere to do this) try and build this car for as few penuts as poss.
