Ford X Flow Bearings
Nickctp - 4/4/13 at 09:58 AM

Hiya,

I just purchased a complete set of brand new bearings for my 1600 Xflow, (Main, Big end and thrust). They are all Standard bearings as I have fitted an new standard crank. They are Mahle/Vandervell bearings so not cheap rubbish.

After inspecting the bearings - it states nowhere that they are standard - (no std mark) just some numbers. Is this standard practice that new bearings dont state they are standard or Undersize etc? Or have I been sent the wrong bearing kits?

Cheers

Why not ask the place where you bought them, there is a slim chance they might just know about the parts they sell.

Mahle / Vandervell bearings have a part number stamped on them. To be a STANDARD size bearing the last 3 digits should be either 200 or 000. Depending on the bearing type of course but either number indicates a standard size.
