What Pinto Manifold For an Indy?
Barkalarr - 13/9/13 at 07:45 PM

What manifold would you need to make the exhaust exit on a 2.0 pinto engined Indy beneath the bonnet line instead of out the side of the bonnet?

This is not my car in the picture, however it demonstrates exactly what I'm trying to overcome.
Ideally, I want to change the manifold to make the exhaust exit through the side panel.

Any ideas?

I'm running a Pinto with the standard 300cwt cast manifold. I've got a 2-into-1 from there down to the can, and it exits a few inches above the lower rail. I should have some pics in my archive if it's any help.

Personally I like the MK over the side manifold arrangement. It gets the pipes and heat out of the engine bay as quickly as possible a d keeps it away from the alternator and steering column.

Never mind, my car's not here (yet) it comes early part of next week - it's currently in a transport depot and the first job is to change the bonnet and manifold.
What car are you putting it in, I might have an Indy bonnet for you.
